E-mail export SMTP fails was created by jeremyd
Hello,
I'm currently facing issues with one of our job in chronoscan
I have configured last year a job to send our invoices directly from chronoscan, from a MS365 email account
It has worked for the past months, then it started to become unstable, sometimes exporting, sometimes returning an error
To fully export the batch I had to export it multiple times until every document has been sent
And now since 3 days, it just won't work anymore
I could give you the export log if needed
Here is the error returned (I had to blur email addresses for security reason)
Looking forward your answer, thank you in advance,
Best regards,
Jeremy

Jeremy, the errors might have to do with some security settings on the Office365 account. It seems you are using an older version of ChronoScan that doesn't have any SSL/TLS capabilities for the SMTP module. So my first suggestion is to update your ChronoScan installation and enable the SSL/TLS option on the SMTP module. You can use this:
chronoscan.s3-eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/Ch.../ChronoScanSetup.exe
chronoscan.s3-eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/Ch.../ChronoScanSetup.exe

Hi Gsimao,
I'm currently using chronoscan 1.0.2.62
TLS/SSL is activated in the module settings
On the office365 side, settings didn't changed since I set it up
It worked for the past 6months, then it worked "sometimes"
Now it just won't export anymore
I'm looking into office admin panel if there's something new

Jeremy,
try setting the From address as the same as the user used for authentication.

Sadly, the same error occur even if the sender address/user are the same
I really don't know what I can do to make it works

Jeremy,
please make sure multi-factor authentication is disabled for the account. Also, make sure that it accepts regular user + password authentication.
We are still working on adding OAuth authentication for the whole of ChronoScan, but for now, you will need to make sure any more secure authentication options are disabled for the accounts you need to use with ChronoScan.
